Perhaps

Perhaps it may be possible
to change the world
Rearrange the world
Accomplish absolute upheaval
exchangin Good for selfish evil
by extendin’ out a life-worn hand
to that grace-scattered
tempest-battered
beaten, broken, bruised and shattered
cold-hearted shell of a man
who exists
In this age of me and mine
If it feels good do it ne’er mind
how it relates to thee and thine
Buy it, steal it
Take it, fake it
Lie your way out
just to make it
obvious that there’s not a care
‘cept for the only one that’s there
in the mirror
starin’
through glassy, empty, soul-less eyes
that’ll do most anything to grasp the prize
of recognition, affirmation,
man’s applause and commendation
sacrificing character for that
one
little
praise

Perhaps…

    When chaos comes calling
    will you be home balling
or just hanging to watch the scene

It’s not so hard to think
Living is like taking a drink
Take one or get drunk, don’t make a scene

    It’s your hangover, don’t complain
I did not force you to not obstain
drink it like an avalanche pouring down the mountain

When you’re done with fun and games
When resting for a bit is the only aim
Come see me, I’ve got a place

It’s easy there, no regrets, no trace

The Creator of everything that is good… including man. The One Who knows everything, sees everything, hears everything, and still sees amazing value in the ones He created. A Father Who unconditionally loves His children – in spite of themselves. …. …. …. …. 🙂

He refers to a supernatural or spiritual power here, uh?
